Pouria Nazemi is a science journalist based in Montreal, Canada. He has BSc in Mathematics from the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. After graduation, he turned to science journalism and started his professional career as a staff writer at Nojum Magazine (Persian Astronomy Monthly). He joined the Jam-e-Jam daily newspaper as a science writer and soon after he named as senior science editor and manager of Science Desk of Jam-e-Jam. His writing (popular and academic) published in outlets such as Shargh Newspaper, Danestaniha Magazine, Hamshahri School of Journalism, The Conversation, Communicating Astronomy with the Public Journal, Journal of Communication of Oxford Academic, World Federation of Science Journalism and others. He has also appeared as science presenter in multiple Radio/TV shows. He has translated and published more than ten books into Farsi in the field of science and journalism. He is living in Montreal, Canada, where he is an MA candidate in Journalism studies at Concordia University and also a member of the Concordia Science Journalism Project. He is also producing and presenting a bi-weekly podcast, ‘In These Nights’ about science and journalism. He is continuing his science journalism works as a freelance science journalist.
