10th Science and Technology Exchange Program (STEP)

Dear All

It is with deep regret that we inform you of the postponement of the 10th Science and Technology Exchange Program (STEP), which was supposed to take place from June 4 to 6, 2024, in Islamabad, Pakistan. This decision has not been made lightly, and unavoidable circumstances have compelled the organizers to take this decision at this time. Mustafa(pbuh) Science and Technology Foundation (MSTF) co-organizes STEP summits in various Islamic countries in collaboration with different scientific and technological institutions. In addition to the summits coinciding with Mustafa(pbuh) Prize Ceremonies biennially in Iran, Universiti Putra Malaysia hosted the event in Kuala Lumpur in 2016, followed by Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat in 2018, and International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences in Karachi in 2019. In 2023, the 9th STEP was planned to take place from February 14 to 16 hosted by Middle East Technical University in Ankara, but due to a terrible earthquake in Turkey on February 6, we had to postpone it. The 9th STEP was subsequently organized in Isfahan in 2023. The 10th STEP focused on “MOIPs Towards Facing Elderly in Islamic World” was intended to be hosted by COMSTECH in Islamabad. However, MSTF was notified that unforeseen conditions had arisen in which the goals of the event, including networking, defining joint projects, developing scientific and technological cooperation, etc., would probably not be achieved. Hence, organizers were left with no choice but to postpone the event. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the invited speakers for their invaluable commitments and contributions to enrich this event. The secretariat will inform the esteemed invited speakers and participants as soon as the date and venue of the next STEP are finalized.

Best regards
