Pro. Syed Mohammad Wasim Jafri completed his M.B.B.S. from Dow Medical College in 1976 and L.R.C.P from London. He is presently employed as Associate Dean and Chair of the Department of Continuous Professional Education. He is Chair of the ACT-HBV Pakistan and Member of the ACT-HBV Asian Pacific. He is a Member of the Guidelines Committee for the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of Liver Disease. He is the President of the Pakistan Society for the Study of Liver Disease & President of SAARC Liver Society. He is a member of various societies like the British Society of Gastroenterology. He served as an editorial board member of various journals like the Journal of World Congress of Gastroenterology. He completed his PhD.in Environmental Microbiology in 2002 from the University of Madras, India. He is presently employed as a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Food Science at the University of Arkansas. He is a member of the American Society for Microbiology. He served as Ad-hoc Journal Reviewer for many journals like the International Journal of Medical Microbiology.
