Dr. Rasool Jalili holds a doctorate degree in computer science from the University of Sydney, Australia. He is an Associate Professor in Sharif University of Technology (SUT), computer engineering faculty, a member of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace, and one of the SUT's most renowned professors. He has been teaching and researching at SUT since 1995. He was appointed to the position of presidency of SUT by the Minister of Science, Research and Technology on 18 Oct 2021.He was also a visiting professor at the University of California from September 2009 to July 2010. Besides being a member of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace, Dr. Jalili is the vice president of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of West Azerbaijan for Economic Affairs. Additionally, he is a member of the Faculty of Computer Engineering, Director of the IT Department and a member of the Amanfraz Gostar Sharif company's founding board and chairman of its board, as well as a member of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade's advanced industries software group. In 1987, he was accepted into the master's program in computer science at SUT after completing his bachelor's degree at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. As a student of computer science, he continued his studies at University of Sydney in Australia, where he received a doctorate degree in "Distributed Operating Systems". Over 25 of his articles have been published in prestigious international journals, and 150 of them have been presented at scientific conferences.
