Prof. Haroon Khan is a Professor at the Department of Pharmacy, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. Dr. Khan has got a Ph.D. degree from the University of Peshawar in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He has more than twenty-three years of experience in pharmacy teaching, research, and professional expertise in various fields of Pharmaceutical Sciences. His research focus is phytomedicines/pharmacology. In this connection, he has already published 460 articles including research, reviews, and editorials in various national and international reputable journals with 12,900 citations. Prof. Khan is the editorial board member of several journals including Associate Editor in Phytomedicine and Frontiers in Nutrition and Chemistry, consulting editor of Pharmacological Research, Section Editor of Current Neuropharmacology, and Current Molecular Pharmacology. The scientific contributions of Dr. Khan have been acknowledged by Pakistan Council for Science and Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST) and awarded Research Productivity awards four times for the years 2011-2014. Moreover, Prof. Khan has edited several books for international publishers including Elsevier, and Bentham, while a book for CRC Press is near completion. Dr. Khan has been placed in the recently published (2020, 2021 & 2022) Standford’s list of the world's top 2% scientists. This reflects the outstanding research potential of Dr. Khan acknowledged globally.
