Prof. Abdul Aziz Abdul Raman is currently attached to the Chemical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya. Previous positions held by him include Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs), Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Value Creation & Enterprise), and Dean of Faculty of Engineering. His main research areas are mixing in stirred vessels, green technology, and advanced wastewater treatment. He has graduated with more than 100 Ph.D. and Master's students and has published about 300 papers in high-impact journals and conference proceedings. There are 14 patents registered under his name as well. His achievements in research activities have resulted in him being recognized as one of the highly cited researchers in 2020, 2021, and 2022 by Clarivate. He is a fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia, Institution of Chemical Engineers UK, and Institution of Engineers, Malaysia. Professor Abdul Aziz is also a practicing chemical engineer, especially in the field of environmental sustainability.
