Professor Dr. Saad Mekhilef, an IEEE and IET Fellow, is a Distinguished Professor at the School of Science, Computing and Engineering Technologies, Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia. He also holds positions as an Honorary Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Malaya, and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Institute of Sustainable Energy, Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia. He received his B.Eng. from the University of Setif, Algeria (1995), and his M.Eng.Sc. (1999) and Ph.D. (2003) from the University of Malaya.
Professor Mekhilef has an extensive publication record, having authored and co-authored over 800 academic publications and five books, accumulating more than 61,000 citations and an H-index of 117. He has successfully supervised over 85 Ph.D. students. He serves on the editorial boards of several leading journals, including IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and IET Renewable Power Generation.
Recognized globally for his contributions, Professor Mekhilef has been listed by Clarivate Analytics as one of the world's Highly Cited Researchers (Top 1%) and is ranked among the world's top 2% of scientists by Stanford University.
