Habib Zaidi is a full professor at the medical school of Geneva University and the chief physicist at Geneva University Hospital. He also holds professorships at the University of Groningen (Netherlands), University of Southern Denmark (Denmark), and Óbuda University (Hungary), and is a visiting professor at Shahid Beheshti University and Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran. His research focuses on hybrid imaging (PET/CT and PET/MRI), deep learning, Monte Carlo simulations, and theranostics. He has authored over 1,045 publications, including 465+ peer-reviewed journal articles, and is an editor of four textbooks. His work is highly cited, with an h-index of 83 and over 25,300 citations. Dr. Zaidi is a recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the 2003 Bruce Hasegawa Young Investigator Medical Imaging Science Award, the 2010 Kuwait Prize of Applied Sciences, the 2015 Sir Godfrey Hounsfield Award, and the 2017 IBA-Europhysics Prize. He has been elevated to the grade of Fellow of the IEEE, AIMBE, AAPM, IOMP, and BIR, and has served as a liaison to the World Health Organization (WHO).
