MSTF Media reports:

At the inauguration ceremony of the 5th round of Science and Technology Exchange Program (STEP) in Islamic countries, Atta-Ur-Rahman welcomed any opportunity, which may be provided to expand collaborations in the field of science.

He referred to the golden age of Muslim scientists who are now living in “darkness and superstition” not participating in the improvement of national GDP.

Meanwhile, he stated that in his visit to Pakistani Prime Minister he had noted the significant role of the youths, which can change the fate of a country, underlining the strategies and visions used at various levels.

“Japan is spending 5 times more than the whole Islamic countries on the development of science and technology. These are proving chances to catch up and lead,” he added.

The 5th round of Science and Technology Exchange Program (STEP) in Islamic countries is underway at Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research at the University of Karachi and will continue until March 2.
